I want to get myself a sword here but I don't really know what kind to get.

[ .... ]

So, uh, what's the best kind of sword to have here? Or I guess... what kind do you have if you have one? Even better if you can show me or something.

[ He pauses for a moment to scratch at his cheek. ]

Maybe you can try out a sword that fits your fighting style?

[In other words, Ven does not see what's wrong with Trunks having a sword, okay. He feels like he should be concerned, but--]

I don't really use a sword myself but the weapon I have helps me fight easier and adjusts to my speed, too.

Oh yeah? What kind of weapon do you have if it's not a sword?

[ It's not a gun is it? That's hardly a weapon. ]

[It takes a bit before Ventus shows Trunks his Keyblade. Wayward Wind is unique in the way it's meant for a backhand style like Ven's, slight curved to accommodate his speed.]

Not exactly a sword, I guess. It's called a Keyblade.

[ Trunks is just going to... blink a couple hundred times because... ]

[ Yep. ]

[Ventus laughs.]

[ Excuse Trunks while he just delfates a little for a moment. ]

So then... is it a magic- uh, keyblade?

That's right.

[He smiles.]

I'm actually surprised you haven't seen one of these yet. There's a few people here who can use Keyblades, too.

[ He scratches at his cheek again. ]

Uh, well... I haven't really been here that long I guess.

[ A beat. ]

How do you get to use a Keyblade?

You should meet a guy named Sora then.

[A pause.]

The Keyblade chooses you, but it depends on the strength of your heart.

Then:] Do you want to try holding it?

Sora?

[ Never heard of him.

But then... BUT THEN!!! ]

Huh? Really?

[He sends an image of Sora to Trunks.]

Yeah, why not?

[ Trunks shakes his head. Nope, never seen that guy. ]

Uh, I dunno. People seem to think I'm too young to or something.

[ TOTALLY RUDE. ]

[Ventus blinks and tilts his head.]

You don't seem that young to me. Besides, sometimes it helps to start young than worrying about this sort of thing when you're older.

[ Wow, Ventus. You sure are a cool dude. ]

Yeah, I've been training since I could walk so I don't think it's a big deal at all.

Then there shouldn't be any problems with you coming to hold it. All you have to do is be careful, that's all.
